Field Hockey is my life
With out it, life would be miserable
Everyday I go outside and practice
I lift the ball, dribble, and do other tricks
I work on my drives
And my shooting
So by the time I get in high school
I will be ready and skilled
Not to mention
Colleges, coaches, parents,
Everybody is watching me
So I can show them what I can do
Monday I went to the beach with my Mom, Jaycob my brother, and my friend Colleen. When we got the the beach Colleen and I hit the water. It was freezing! So we got out and went back to our stuff and waited for a little bit longer. So finally we said we can do it and hold our breaths. Well I didn’t because I was saying ‘Oh my God, it is cold!” But I started numbing so I felt fine, and later on Colleen did too so we stayed in the water for an hour. When we were in the water, Colleen said the buoys looked like construction workers helmets. So we joked about that and we were dancing in the water. I was the first one to go under the water, so when she wouldn’t go under I splashed her and that started a water fight. Colleen and I noticed that we were the only people in the water so we were happy about that too. Both of us started to get hungry so we got out went to my Mom and got some food and laid down on our towels. After tanning for an hour we played some Frisbee with my brother. Jaycob through the frisbee far and far away from me that it almost hit a sleeping guy in the head. Then, we went back in the water for another hour and had to concer the cold again. This time the water was higher so when I took three or four steps in and the water was up to my waist. Colleen is taller than me so the water was past her knees. She was laughing at me because I was getting soaked quicker than her. So we got out of the water an hour later and left for home.
Proudest Moment
My rose speech is my proudest paper. Also that this is the person that I admire. This paper is for my honor society induction.
I had a difficult time choosing who to dedicate my rose to, because everyone in my life is very special.
This person is always there for me whether it would be for advice, bringing my cleats to school when I forgot them, giving me their last dollar or buying me something when the other parent said ‘NO’.
Being involved in my brother’s and I school activities and sport schedules can be very hectic at times, yet this person rearranges work schedules, working on days off, while keeping up with the other parents busy schedule, doing the yard work and house work, dropping Jaycob and I off to our next destination and all of this with little complaints. We even practice and play the next upcoming sport together a little one on one in the backyard. I won’t tell you who gets out of breath quicker. Just kidding. This person takes the time to sit down with us and talks to us about the importance of family values, education, and being yourself and never giving up.
My rose dedication goes to my dad. (Sorry Mom) Being in Law Enforcement he goes to work everyday, knowing that he might not come back. I love my dad and appreciate everything he has taught me and gave to me.
Mom and Dad, Thank you for giving me the life I have today. If it wasn’t for you then I would never be going to camps for field hockey or any sports that I play. I am happy that you guys pushed me and never made me give up, even though it was pain. But now I am a better person since of you guys. Dad, I owe you a lot because you went to every single game and practice for my whole life. No other Dad could or would do that. After each game you always give me something new to work on or tell me I need to be more aggressive or something like that. Also that he kept me in shape before any sports came up and would not let me stop. Mom, you kept on encouraging me no matter what. Always having a camera ready so when I get the ball you will be having time taking pictures. Making me feel important. Also when I had to get in shape for 6th grade you persuaded me to keep on running for salt and vinegar chips. I love you both and I am glad that you stuck by me the whole time, and coming to all the games and even practices. Once I get famous, don’t worry you will be known.
Accomplishment
People are proud of something they do in life. So am I. I am happy that I made the field hockey team in 6th grade. I didn’t know anything about field hockey. I was taught a few things by three college girls and that is all I knew. So I went out there and gave it my best shot and I got it. Since then I have played for three years of middle school. The best thing is that when I was in 6th grade people thought I had played before, but I never did. That was my number one accomplishment. I have to give some credit to my parents for helping me with my field hockey skills and teaching me not to give up. When I was in 6th grade, my mom was making me run up and down our lane. Once she said “If you make the time then I will give you a bowl of ice cream with salt and vinegar chips on the side. My dad was the one that made me go through drill after drill. Then I had to do suicides, those where so long. Finally we had one on one, and I beat my Mom and brother but not my Dad.
